Very popular with tourists and artists, a small group of fisherman’s cottages situated at the back of the beach. Some that were closer to the sea have been washed away. I have painted various images over the years as you will find in this print catalogue. This painting shows a very minimal palette enhancing the red glow of the cottage front wall with the grouted roof catching the light. The roofs were cement washed as the local slate was of poor quality and problematic in high winds.
