One of two cottages situated beneath the hill fort, all the building stone for the house and the boundary walls would have come from the outcrop above. Some of the stones are massive, giving the impression that they have always been there. More than any of the other old places I have climbed around, Garn Fawr is incredibly special to me and feels so deeply connected to the earth. A truly tangible example of Hiraeth.
